Microblading

Microblading, also known as eyebrow embroidery , feathering or 3D eyebrows tattoo, it is a manual, semi- permanent procedure that gives you the natural look that every woman yearns for. Microblading typically lasts 1-3 years, depending on skin type and skincare routine.

Microblading it is done using a very fine blade to deposit pigment into the skin. Because we are impacting color closer to the surface, the strokes appear crisp and very fine.

Microblading can be done to thicken, and/or darken your existing eyebrows but because of the highly realistic nature of the hair strokes it is also ideal for clients with little or no real eyebrow hair.

People suffering from alopecia  or any other condition that causes hair loss, benefit greatly from Microblading, as well as people who simply aren’t happy with their eyebrows.

The results are a natural, flawless, fuller looking brow. Initially, the brows appear darker, but fade significantly over a two week period. It is absolutely crucial to have a touch up done, as it is very difficult to predict how well the skin will retain the pigment.

Consultation

The procedure starts with a conversation about your needs and expectations (form, colour, thickness). If you are not sure what shape or colour suits you better we will suggest the best solution for you.Pigments used are chosen to match the natural brow colour, and skin tone will also be taken into consideration.

The next step is sterilizing the eyebrows area and drawing the shape  according to your face morphology and measuring with a Gold Ratio Divider so you can immediately see the shape of the best fits.

Photos are taken of drawn eyebrows so you can discuss the symmetry of your eyebrows and than eventually corrections are done.  Nobody’s face is totally symmetrical and you need to be realistic with your expectations.

After you will fall in love with your new look and consent to go forward, the procedure starts.

  • NO facials, botox, chemical treatments and microdermabrasion for 4 weeks.
  • Avoid sleeping on your face for the first 10 days.
  • Don’t panic if dry patches or scabs appear.

The eyebrow area will be slightly red after the procedure, and the pigment will appear darker than your healed result will reveal. This is normal for the procedure and part of the healing process. The colour will fade by up to 40%-60% as it heals. In the following days, the eyebrows will continue to be dark and you will notice slight flaking. Do not pick at the flaking as this may damage the skin and the outcome of the permanent makeup. The eyebrows will lighten up in colour as they heal.

No down time is required after permanent makeup procedures.  It takes approximately 7-14 days for the brows to heal over, and about 3-4 weeks for the colour to fully set. You’ll notice the colour appearing quite light about two weeks after your appointment; the skin will have an opaque milky looking quality to it. This is known as “milk skin” and is common in tattooing. This is due to the the tissue still healing from the inside out, even though the surface of the skin has healed. True colour will reveal itself once fully healed.

Pigment retention depends on skin type, age, aftercare, sun exposure, use of certain skin products, pigments used, immune system, medications and other factors. Everyone’s skin heals differently and most clients develop patchy areas or the appearance of fading after the first treatment.  It is important to understand that this is a two part process and the second, Touch Up Treatment will complete the procedure and, after healing, you will see the finished result.  PLEASE BE PATIENT AND DON’T PANIC!
